Players found engaging in such behaviour will face disciplinary action, ranging from warnings to permanent bans, depending on the severity and frequency of the offense.

2.4 / Combat Logging

Combat logging, disconnecting from the server during or immediately after a hostile situation to avoid roleplay consequences, is strictly prohibited. Players must remain connected and actively participate in all roleplay interactions.

This rule ensures that players remain engaged in roleplay scenarios and discourages actions that disrupt immersion and fairness within the Response Roleplay server. Anyone found doing this will be subject to punishment.

2.5 / Scamming

Players are prohibited from scamming others for the following items:

  • Vehicles

  • Properties

2.6 / Third Party Communications

2.7 / Blacklisted Modifications

Use of any of the following modifications or similar to your game is extremely prohibited:

  1. Tracers/Bullet Indicators

  2. Blood Splitter Effects

  3. External Crosshairs

  4. Anything that removes bushes/trees/water/props/weather

  5. Playing with a widened aspect ratio like 4:3 etc.

The only mods allowed are ones that enhance your game, not to give you a competitive edge. ReShade, ENB, and NVE are okay to use.

2.8 / Green Zones

No criminal activity to happen inside or outside hospitals. Do not attempt to use any hospitals as "Safe Zones" to escape ongoing scenes, you will still be expected to continue the scene there. Do not initiate/provoke at hospitals, if you start a fight and get killed, that's on you. Do not start any criminal activity at police stations. Do not attempt any hostage negotiations at police stations, you will get shot.

2.9 / Streaming

You are not allowed to use the information gained from watching a stream for your in-game character. This is considered metagaming and will result in a ban. You cannot watch streams while in the server.

2.10 / Clips/Bodycam/Recording

Using recordings to bypass the the New Life Rule (NLR) or for revenge after death is prohibited. Recordings are valid only with visible in-game recording devices, like phones or cameras. Businesses may use recordings as CCTV within their premises, only employees that have CCTV. Civilians do not have dash or body cams.

Claims for lost items require video evidence; refunds without proof will be denied. Only Police and EMS are permitted body cams.

2.11 / Going AFK

Whilst in-game if anything that happens while you are gone is your own responsibility. If you come across an AFK player do not kill, harm, rob or mess with them.

AFK Farming is not allowed. You cannot be doing jobs/hobbies in the city and go AFK. IE. AFK Fishing, Mining etc.

2.12 / Account Responsibility

Your account, is your responsibility. If anything happens even if it is not from you on your account, you will be punished for it. Keep your account private and do not share it with anyone.

2.13 / Playing Whilst Intoxicated

If you are intoxicated to the point where your ability to follow the rules is impaired, staff have the right to remove you from the server until you become sober. Furthermore, any rule breaks whilst intoxicated will be held against you as if you were sober.

Section 3 - Character Rules

Before making your character there is important information you should know before proceeding.

3.1 / Realistic Character Name

You must choose a realistic name for your character, it cannot contain any harmful, vulgar language, or sound like some, and also must not be in connection to any person that would be deemed famous in real life.

Examples: Do not have names like: "Ben Dover", "Steve Harvey", "Looney Tunes/Chicken Little". Any fictional cartoon character names/series are not allowed.

3.2 / Character Separation and Affiliation

To maintain an authentic and immersive roleplaying environment, each of your characters must exist independently from one another. They should not share knowledge of personal information, relationships, or backgrounds beyond what is established in roleplay. Furthermore, having multiple characters affiliated with the same circle or gang is strictly prohibited. Each character should possess a unique identity, set of connections, and associations.

You may not share items including but not limited to money, weapons, vehicles and more between characters.

3.3 / Wearing Starter Clothing

You must customize your character's appearance upon joining the server for the first time. You cannot exit the spawn point with the default appearance unless you are heading to the clothing store/barber shop to fix your look.

3.4 / Value of Life

Your characters life is the most important thing to you, you should not take it's life for granted or as a joke, and not fear the consequences of getting seriously injured/killed.

Examples:

  • Not putting your hands up when being held up

  • Pulling out a weapon when one/numerous are already drawn towards you

  • Jumping off high surfaces in an attempt to escape someone, when it's very obvious your character will die

  • Jumping in front of cars that are moving, standing in front of a car in an attempt to stop it

Killing off a character/taking a life must have a good roleplay reason behind it, your primary reason for trying to kill someone should not be something they don't remember something insignificant.

3.5 / New Life Rule

  • If a player chooses to respawn, they are considered to have no memory of the events leading up to their incapacitation.

  • As such, they may not seek revenge on any individual involved in their death.

  • A player may only seek revenge if they were:

    • Transported to Los Santos Medical Centre, or

    • Received medical treatment from EMS or PD

    • A witness may inform the player of what occurred to refresh their memory, allowing for appropriate in-character action.

When dying, you should stay away from whoever killed you and not bring up a prior incident for at least 30 minutes. To go back to the killer/confront them you must be reminded by someone. NLR ties into gang conflict, if your group gets spun and everyone dies/goes down, none of you will know exactly what happened or who did it. Refrain from talking about details as to what happened when you get killed/incapped/downed.

3.6 / Character Killing

For an execution to occur, there must be:

  1. High-quality roleplay involved

  2. If you "perma kill" your character, it must be deleted.

Once your Character is killed permanently there is no coming back. You can CK by deleting your character or if dying from a scene you signify in some way that yes, your character is dead.

Section 4 - Roleplay Rules

4.1 / Misuse of /me's

The purpose of the /me command is to describe actions that can't be shown through emotes or aren't visually obvious. For example, "male smells of alcohol" or "has a bullet in shoulder" are acceptable uses. Inappropriate use includes "ABC did it to you!" or spamming /me's. If a /me doesn't immediately reveal something you'd know, like "thinks about killing [Tom]", you won't know about it, but could observe that the person who did the /me looks angry. Avoid reading out loud any /me's you see in the voice chat.

4.2 / Illegal Bragging

Posting excessively on social media about drugs/guns/dead bodies/anything illegal will result in a punishment. However be prepared for the Police to investigate you!

4.3 / Disclosing Illegal Locations

Trying to purchase or sell; drugs, money, or concealed spot locations is prohibited (you can sell drugs, just not the locations). These locations are intended to be uncovered through roleplay and character development.

4.4 / Low Effort Roleplay

You should invest effort into your roleplay. Repeatedly shooting, evading the police unnecessarily, and using extreme actions in minor situations is considered low-effort roleplay.

4.5 / Voice ID

If someone has a mask on and in an outfit you've never seen before, you cannot assume who they are based off their voice.

4.6 / Breaking Character

You are expected to stay in character at all times while playing in the server. You should also learn lingo to help circumvent saying things like "keyboard", "monitor", "pc", etc that refer to things in the real world.

Examples of breaking character:

  • Referring to staff as "gods", "government", etc.

  • Referencing your other character as your "cousin"

  • Referencing that you record/stream or use the term "bodycam"

  • Referencing bans as "deported" or "sent on a vacation"

  • Saying "in my head" then proceed to mention something about you IRL

4.7 / Body Camping

After killing someone, you cannot stay around the area to ensure EMS are unable to do their job and save them. If you kill an officer you should not be hanging around the body as multiple officers are going to arrive and your main focus should be getting out of the area.

4.8 / Cop Baiting

Doing "stupid" things so the police come to you and try to arrest/pull you over (baiting them to come to you for a reaction), is absolutely not allowed. Doing anything that would be considered completely unrealistic/foolish solely to get a cop's attention.

4.9 / Vigilante RP

This is where a player takes the law into their own hands rather than calling law enforcement.

4.10 / Terrorism RP

This is not allowed. However, explosives are available and if RP'd correctly, are allowed.

4.11 / Sexual Conduct

Erotic roleplay is prohibited, with no exceptions.

4.12 / No Intent to Roleplay

Exactly as it sounds, if you do not have any intent to actually roleplay here you will be removed.

4.13 / Fail RP

Fail RP refers to unrealistic actions or a failure to roleplay appropriately. This term covers a wide range of actions, all of which are prohibited. For instance, passing items through 5-inch thick glass to a friend in jail.

4.14 / Metagaming

Using any information that your character did not obtain through roleplay to affect in-game actions or decisions. This includes using information from Discord or Live Streams. Mixing memories from 2 different characters are not allowed. If you are restrained or if your communication devices have been removed then you must make yourself inactive on any other forms of communications besides proximity chat.

4.15 / Powergaming

Trying to misuse roleplay to exploit game mechanics for an advantage or winning within roleplay. Such as excessive jump spamming, failing to correctly assess your injuries, or using radio unrealistically when handcuffed or with hands up, is not allowed.

Using combat helmets, police vests or items relating to Police or EMS as a civilian or criminal is prohibited. Installing bulletproof body panels/windows is not allowed.

4.16 / Abuse of a Whitelisted Job

You should not be conducting any illegal activities while on duty at your job. You should not be on duty and not do your job, just to receive a pay check.

Addition to this, you cannot abuse in-game mechanics granted by your job to benefit your experience, examples are:

  • Mechanics putting parts on their own cars for free

  • Dynasty Agents giving themselves a free house

  • Un-jailing/un-bedding your friends from the hospital because they're "your friend"

  • Using any Discord log or channel information to gain in-character information (eg: license plates)

When joining a whitelisted job, your intention should be to perform your duties fairly and in line with the job's objectives. This means:

  • Cops should not leave evidence on their friends, give their friends unfair advantages, sell evidence, improperly transfer evidence, be corrupt, etc.

  • DOJ members should not utilise the MDT for personal benefit outside of lawyer duties, same with EMS, etc.

4.16 / Group Limits

You shall not be in a group that is larger than 5 people in criminal scenes. This number will not change regardless of police presence. Swapping members out mid-scene is strictly prohibited. Lookouts, drivers, and scouts count towards the number. To put it plainly, the only people involved should be the 5 chosen. Nobody outside the 5 should be aiding in any way to the scene. They shouldn't be on the radio giving you callouts, preparing cars, picking up bodies before the scene is over, absolutely nothing. It's up to that 5 and that's it.

4.17 / Impersonation of PD/EMS/DOJ

Do not use the clothing/ped models that are associated with emergency services.

Stealing emergency vehicles without any roleplay involved falls under this category. This includes any plane(s), helicopters, tanks, jets, transport vehicles, military vehicles etc.

4.18 / Gang Conflict

In the sense of griefing, "beef" between two groups must have valid roleplay reasoning behind it, so if a third-party is told about it, they could also agree as to why there is beef in the first place. It must make sense, and have high quality roleplay behind it. Beef shouldn't be forced upon another group, because clearly if it's valid, both sides would understand it. Beef shouldn't be forced upon another group, because clearly if it's valid, both sides would understand it.

4.19 / Ocean Dumping

Ocean Dumping should be a last resort and used sparingly.

When someone is ocean dumped, they forget major storyline details relating to a group or activity they should forget. Those initiating the ocean dump must explain why they're doing it, like, "We can't let you roam freely knowing our operations."

Valid reasons for ocean dumping include:

  • A cop discovering your gang's plans or illegal hideout, which, remembered, could lead to trouble like raids.

  • Someone is leaving your gang, and you want them to forget critical information related to it.

  • Catching someone repeatedly spying on your gang, and they know too much.

Section 5 - Situational Rules

5.1 / Getting Downed

You must tell the truth about what happened (Stabbed, Gunshots, Runover) if you don't this will deemed as Fail RP. You can talk when you're down as long as the injury isn't immediately fatal, and when you talk it's about your injuries. You should not be talking normally if you're downed/dead. Talking trash to a dead body excessively is not tolerated.

Section 6 - Gang Rules

For a detailed list of all gang rules and expectations, please see.

Section 7 - Combat Rules

7.1 / Random Death Match (RDM)

Attacking another player/group without any story/roleplay leading up to it. There should always be build up or a story behind every death. You must initiate prior to shooting/killing someone. Reference "Value of Life", what happens in the scene must be valid for the attempt/murder of the other player. You should not kill someone for being in a certain area when the job forces them to be there (legal jobs like trucking, fishing, hunting etc.). When initiation, it should not be a one-line thing; there should actively be back & forth dialogue, RP is a two-way street.

Example of bad reasons/initiations:

  • Any "one liners", "what those colours mean to you", "hey buddy", "stay off our block", "abc did it to you!"

  • Killing someone because they are annoying

  • Killing someone because you got into a vehicle accident with them

  • Killing someone because they are refusing you service at businesses/courthouses

  • Killing someone because they are doing a legal job (trucking, fishing, hunting etc.)

  • Killing someone because they are wearing a random piece of clothing that has the same colour as your gang

  • Killing someone because their vehicle is the colour of your gang

7.2 / Vehicular Death Match (VDM)

Attacking another player/group of players using a vehicle, is a banable offence.

7.3 / GTA Driving

Driving a vehicle in a manner that any sensible person would deem as incredibly unrealistic as it'll cause severe injury or death to you and others. You can take stunt jumps around the map, especially in getaway chases. Some examples of what not to do are:

  • Do not drive off the pier or into the ocean

  • Do not drive into vehicles head-on, as a heat seeking missile

  • Do not drive a vehicle off-road/up a mountain, that clearly shouldn't be

  • Do not ram other vehicles at speeds that would cause severe injury or death

  • Do not use your vehicle to purposely disable other vehicles

  • Do not drive off a very high point in a vehicle

7.4 / Hostages/Kidnapping

When taking hostages, you must provide high-quality roleplay. You can not use fake hostages such as friends or group members. Hostages should be kept no longer than 45 minutes if a scene is not lasting longer. Generally, the police only allow 1 demand per hostage. If you wish to kidnap a member of PD or EMS, it must be for a valid RP reason that ties directly into the storyline.

7.5 / Castle Rule

The castle rule is when players in a gang and/or group are hanging out passively at their known owned street/block/area while over group limit. If another player or group attempts to shoot at the players that are already passively hanging out they may return fire, in self-defence.

If members are being chased by the cops they are not allowed to go back to your block where there are an excess of 6 members to set up an ambush.

If another group rolls up to your street and opens fire, you are only allowed to chase with a maximum of 6 people no exceptions.

Section 8 - Robbery Rules

8.1 / Lootboxing

Looting any player without much roleplay presented for them is prohibited.

8.2 / Robbing stores/banks

You can not chain rob stores or banks, please use common sense. You must wait a minimum of 45 minutes between store robberies and minimum 2 hours between bank robberies.

  • You cannot use super/hyper cars in store/bank robberies

  • Do not initiate any heists 15 minutes prior/post server restart

  • You cannot counter a heist/store robbery that is already in progress

8.3 / Robbing

Robbing should not be motivated by financial gain; avoid robbing people simply because you're low on funds.

To initiate a robbery, two essential conditions must be met:

  • High-quality roleplay is required

  • A compelling reason for the robbery must be established

8.4 / Outside Help

If you involve anyone outside your immediate group during a heist (such as store or bank robberies, you must inform the police at the scene. Having a getaway driving driver or a non-violent accomplice waiting outside is allowed but you may not organise a planned ambush to kill the police.

Any outside assistance should remain passive and not act as gunmen waiting to engage without initiation. If the situation esclates, using deadly force with outside help should be a last resort. Only after all other high-effort escape options have failed. Planned a violent intervention from the start is considered low-effort roleplay and will result in a ban for the entire group.
